The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author talks war, religion and human nature

Chris Hedges was a war correspondent for 20 years and has become a prophetic voice in modern society. When he was with the New York Times, he won the Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the war on terrorism, and one of his 11 books, War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning (2003), was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction. His most recent work is a collection called The World As It Is: Dispatches on the Myth of Human Progress.
